I know you were expecting an update on our latest adventure, but it is taking me a little bit longer than I expected to weed through the over 2,000 pictures we took.  So for now I am leaving you with this little doozy Hubby and I found in Itaewon a couple of weeks back.

Seriously, what could be in this pie?

Found your blog tonight whislt searching images for "The Pizza Peel, Itaewon" and sooo glad I did. I'm also a military spouse living here at Yongsan, and it is a pleasure to read another positive look on life here! Great look, great blog;)

Thanks for leaving a note! We were at Pizza Peel last night! Dave, the owner is leaving, heading back to Canada. I met the new owner night and he says he is going to keep it the same....however I did see a bucket of sliced pickles on the counter...hummm....I don't remember them being there before.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by!

Hmm...I was wondering why those little pies were so expensive! If it's the same place I walked by a couple weeks ago they were like $8 a pop. Looked good though!

My understanding is because many Korean's don't have ovens and if they do, they don't have time to bake. Hence the reason why there are SO MANY bakeries here in Korea. Also, pies are rare here. A coworker of my husband asks my husband if there really is such a thing as 'chocolate pie'....needless to say I am baking a chocolate pie for him (today as a matter of fact!).

Did you notice that the full size pie cost 45,000 won!?! I'm considering going into the pie business! :o)
