The New Face of Denmark Milk

On Friday Boy 3 shot his first commercial!  Yes, I said COMMERCIAL!! It is for Denmark Milk, as pictured above.  The commercial will be aired here in Korea starting on September 7th, the day before his 4th birthday!  They also told me his picture will be poster size in bus stations all over.  How freaking cool is that?!?!

A funny story about this shoot…  Boy 3 DOES NOT like cow's milk.  He likes soy milk.  I let them know this in advance; they told me 'no problem'.  When packing our bag to go on the shoot, I packed soy milk for my boy 'just in case', and it is a good thing I did.

Boy 3 was right on.  He shot the first half of the commercial perfectly without too many retakes.  In the first half of the shoot he had to look happy and pick the glass of milk up.  In the second half of the shoot he actually had to drink milk. Boy 3 was very thirsty, and he LOVES (soy) milk.  (At this point I ask them if they would like to use the soy milk - I told them again that Boy 3 does not like milk.  They told me no, they wanted to try with their product anyway because the soy milk is a little darker in color. I did my job and warned them.)  When it came time for the second half everyone was very excited, it looked as if Boy 3 were going to nail it right away.  His face was perfect, he picked the glass up just right, (his hands had to be positioned just right, smile on his face and look as if he loves the product).  This was going to be too easy for him.  He did it, he was totally nailing it, he was taking a HUGE drink, smiling the whole time, he sat the glass back where it was supposed to go, smiling for a brief moment until he realized it was not what he was expecting, he then got a disgusted look on his face, spewed the milk out his mouth across the table, started gagging and saying "YUCK, YUCK, YUCK" he then started wiping his tongue on his shirt gagging the whole time!  All 30+ people that it takes to film a commercial died laughing.  This was such a classic moment!  They continued trying their products for a few more shots, Boy 3 gagging each time.  In the end, they took my advice and gave him the soy milk.
I hope to get a copy of the bloopers.

And we love Commencer!  Thanks to them Boy 2's college fund is growing by leaps and bounds.  Since his first photo shoot with Commencer over a year ago when we first arrived here, boy 2 has been in their catalogues and on their walls every season since!  Here are a few pictures from his latest shoot....

This photo shoot cracked me up!  Boy 3 was the only child at this photo shoot, but check out the room he shot in.....

I mean look...there are dresses hanging on that rack! I was a little nervous at first thinking they thought he was a girl again.  I was happy when they dressed him in jeans and this Macy's t-shirt.  Whee....

So, the cool thing about this photo shoot ~ I got a phone call a couple of days later and this is what I heard (through Konglish)... "need copy of passport, visa,  blah, blah, blah...extra money...blah, blah, blah, big posters in E-Mart"  ....Whoa, hold on....my kid is going to have big posters at E-Mart?!?!  WHAT?!?  Now for those of you back in the states, this would be like your kid having big posters in Wal-Mart or Target!!!  This kid’s mug is going to be all over South Korea!  Holy smokin' Joe!!  That is if I understood everything correctly.  We have already started the passport stuff, got some extra $$ and now I am just waiting to see that big picture of my boy.  I can't wait to take his picture by it, and I don't even care if it is in the pink room!  ;-) I will update you all when/if it happens!

Boy 3 was very upset that he only got to work half a day.  He told Mrs. Sue that he needs to work every day. He is just in it for the donuts.

I can't help myself, I am a proud mom.  Isn't he just adorable?  And he looks so sweet...

In this picture he was about to jump off the top of this boat...notice the devilish look.

All the kids on this shoot....they all wanted to shoot Boy 2 as he was acting up, making them work longer & he just dropped a shoe in the water, so they all had to wait for someone had to fetch it out!

Just being himself....

Last week Girl modeled Burberry clothes for a magazine.  Isn't she adorable?

Girl being silly.  They told her to watch what he was doing.

I love this look and I am so glad I captured it on film, she gives this look to her dad (ok, and to me too), then she gets anything she wants.

They let her take home as many tulips as she could carry!

My favorite shot of the day....

Commencer, Again

This is the third time Commencer has had Boy 2 come back to model for them, which is nice, because Commencer is by far my favorite company to work for.  The staff is wonderful, catering to every whim of the kids, and the photographer ROCKS!  She is so good with the kids, letting them play and goof off, while working fast and getting amazing shots!   For this photo shoot we headed out for a 1.5 hour drive to Incheon Beach.  Remember as you are looking at these photos the weather in Korea is still VERY COLD, on this particular day it was about 36 degrees F, with the wind blowing like crazy!!

First they would get the kids dressed, bundle them up in blankets, someone would carry them outside, put them in their spot, the photographer would take test pictures with the blankets on, and then they would unwrap the kids and do the real shots, cover them back up and carry them back in the condo...

We all had lots of fun this day, the time seemed to fly by!

Here is a picture of Boy3 feeding the cheetah...

And Boy 2 trying to warm himself on the cheetah....

Don't you just love his hair?

Here are a couple of pictures of the condos we were using...

And some shots of Boy 3.

Look what I found when I went to the mall yesterday...

Girl is the one in the left corner of the picture.  I screamed on the escalator when I looked up and saw this!

So, if that isn't enough to give a mom heart failure, I saw this when I walked around the corner...

Proud Army wife and mother to 4 wonderful children.  I love to cook, travel, work out and scrapbook life’s adventures when I find the time.  We just got orders & are heading back to the states in March 2010.  I'm bummed that our time has been cut short, but proud of Hubby for the reason why.
