My Happy Place!

Hubby, girl and I woke up at 5AM to go to the flower market. It is amazing.  Before you even get to the market you start smelling the flowers. Then you walk in and you see just rows and rows of fresh flowers.  It is amazing.  There are so many flowers, and they are all beautiful and healthy looking.  No dead flowers in the bunch.   You walk down a row, and it just keeps going, I have never seen a flower market like this before, and the deals are outstanding.  I got a dozen Lilies for $4, we got other flowers for $1 & $2 per bunch.  I will be going to the flower market at least once per week & will always have fresh flowers in my house.   Right now we do not have much in our house, but we do have 5 vases of fresh flowers.  One side of the market is fresh flowers, the other side is fake flowers, I call the fake flower side, Michael's on steroids.  It really is...there are so many fake flowers, beads, nick-knacks, ribbons & wrapping paper that it is overwhelming!  I love this flower market;  it is like a little slice of heaven.  You can't help but to smile when you are here.

So, go to the tab titled "My Happy Place".  I have a slideshow of the flower market.  I hope this will help you understand why this is my happy place.

PS....I have a few pictures of sleeping shop keepers in the slideshow also!  This just cracks me up!

I'm happy now, too, after looking at all those beautiful flowers. I cannot wait to see it for myself at Christmas. I'm so excited. What are the export rules for when I travel there?? Can I bring an extra suitcase and fill it with goodies?? Talked to Elie's art teacher about our upcoming trip and she is going to incorporate it into the lesson plan and Ellie will do a project to share with the class!!

Did you see the Sunflowers? I took that picture for you. Also, at Christmas time, I have heard the flower market is "Christmas gone wild"!

Those flowers are really beautiful! I wish we could get them like that. By the time we pick them up from the store they are half dead and so expensive! Anyway, Glen would like to come visit but you know how I am with airplanes! The boat idea was a good one though, but then there was the Titanic! Love you!

Wow! My nose is running just looking at all the pictures... never mind, it's from the Texas spring weather. I know you miss it.

That's amazing. I love the guys sleeping. Axel needs to go there to apply. He's looking for a really EASY job position.
