Day 25

Day 25
Just another day :o)

I'm feeling pretty good these days.
Yes I still have cravings occasional cravings, but not nearly as strong.
I think I will be OK when the Whole30 is over.
I'm not going to go crazy and eat everything in site.
In fact the only thing I'm adding on day 31 is.....
Can you guess?

Did you guess a magic bar?
If so, you are wrong.

Day 31 will be the day of the Army Ball and I am adding...
A glass of vino, maybe 2.
If I have 3 I will probably be dancing on the table and I don't think that will be appropriate so I think I will stick to 2 max.  :O)
Breakfast:  Pancetta, fried egg in pancetta greease avocado & pineapple. I'm in heaven.
I just wish pancetta wasn't so expensive.
Picture
Lunch:  Leftover chicken fajita wraps.
Dinner:  I intended to take a photo, but things got busy and I didn't.  Last night was POKER night, so I had to be creative as everyone typically brings 'poker food' - which most 'poker food' is not Whole30 approved.  I made a HUGE platter of fresh veggies with tahini dip, chicken wings - my spice flavor and I made up a new lemon pepper chicken wing (galic salt, lemon pepper, & more crushed black pepper), and I planned to make deviled eggs (stuff with guac), but in the end I ran out of time so we just had hard boiled eggs.
AND - guess what - all my 'good clean food' was gone at the end of the night.....hummm.....

I am on Day 4 of the Whole30, and I have to say, I'm so glad you are sharing your journey! I had never heard of it before. I've "tried" to eat healthy before, but nothing ever stuck because 1) I think if I'm doing well I deserve a treat, 2) I'm an endless snacker and 3) my husband is deployed, I have a 2.5 year old and a 10 month old, and dang it, I NEED Taco Bell and Dr. Pepper so my kids survive the day ;) . I love that this plan doesn't give you room to cheat, you either do it or you don't. I feel great, and I've already lost six pounds (okay, I do cheat and weigh myself). It has really opened my eyes on how if I do eat healthy, I won't crave (or have room) for all that other junk! Okay, after 30 days I might have a tiny bit of room for some of that junk ;) Anyway, thanks!!

Brenna ~ Thanks for the note! I was beginning to wondering if anyone even noticed that I was doing the Whole30! :o)

GOD BLESS you girl. Hubby deployed and 2 babies under the age of three. I would be lucky to make it to day 3. My bad thing of choice was a glass of wine at the end (ok, sometimes middle) of the day while Hubby was deployed so my kids would survive the day.....

Congratulations on day 4!! (AND 6 POUNDS!!! Awesome!) Just know you might have some hard days ahead...the cravings sometimes are so bad you feel like you could take someone out...fight those cravings!!

I'm at the end and I feel great - down 10 pounds (Weighing is what got me through some of the cravings!) and my energy level is super high. I would love to hear from you again to see how you are doing!

Keep going girl!! :o)

Yes, hopefully the weight loss with help me fight the cravings too! And believe me, his first deployment out of Germany had me drinking at all sorts of hours. But I've had nursing infants for his last two, which is pretty much the only thing that has kept me (mostly) sober ;)

I am surprised that already I feel like I have more energy. I still don't sleep well (again, nursing infant), but when the kids are ready to go at 7am instead of begging them for more sleep I just get our day started. I'm hoping that energy only gets better from here! I'll definitely let you know!
