5:20AM - Trish is awake with a slight headache.
Hubby is still snoozing.
5:30AM - Trish hobbles downstairs on her lame leg and turns on espresso machine.
6:00AM - slight headache is vanishing. I love coffee - even black.

Breakfast Confession #1: Even though I huge advocate for breakfast among my family, just give me a cup of joe and I'm a happy girl
Breakfast Confession #2: I totally did not eat this. But Hubby and the kids did. (Kids minus the sautéed peppers with fresh oranges instead.)
Breakfast Confession #3: Even though I'm not a huge breakfast eater I have been trying really hard to eat more breakfast. Typically I have a 1/2 an avocado and a cup or 2 of yummy coffee. Today I had an egg and 1 tiny piece of the bacon - bacon that was all natural - not cured, not smoked and had no type of goodness in it at all.

9AM & headache is back and stronger. I'm giving in & taking motrin (I need it for my leg anyway). I'm also having another cup of joe.
11AM - I called Hubby to ask him how he was feeling - his response: Good.
At 11AM that was my response too. After I took motrin this morning I've been GREAT. My energy level is high and I have no complaints. Day 3 isn't bad at all. (I hope I continue singing this tune!)
However I did not work out - I am resting my leg - that is my excuse anyway. I SHOULD have worked my arms out - I promise (myself) to go to the gym tomorrow.

Today at lunch I had a volunteer luncheon to attend at a pseudo Mexican restaurant. I say pseudo because we went to a restaurant on post.....a Mexican restaurant on a military post typically isn't that great anyway but a Mexican restaurant on post in Korea where the Mexican food is cooked by Koreans....well, let's just say whatever you are thinking is probably pretty accurate. I really didn't have a hard time saying no. I drank like 4 glasses of water and then scooted out.
I ate leftover kebabs from last nights dinner when I returned home.

Dinner was super YUM!
Tonight I made a crockpot chicken with a totally legal gravy. Click here for the recipe.
I served it with a side of steamed asparagus and a salad with the creamy avacodo dressing. It is still a little thick, but I'm working on it! The basic recipe is 1 ripe avocado, a handful of cilantro 2 TBL olive oil, 4 TBL water, 2 cloves garlic & kosher salt to taste. I mix it with an immersion blender. It really is delicious but I admit it is better as a dip for fresh vegies like cucumbers, mushrooms and carrots.
Day 3 wrap up: Not bad at all. Per the Whole 30 people today should have been one of our worse day. They said we would not want to get out of bed, would have a pounding headache, would feel lethargic and super crabby.....
Not so much for me...I had plenty of energy, woke without and alarm, yeah, I had a small headache, but nothing that a little motrin and coffee couldn't take care of - now I will admit I was a bit crabby during dinner/after dinner. I'm not sure if that was because of the Whole 30 or because my children were acting like heathens.....
I'm ready for Day 4!
