4th of July Festivities

Even though we live in Korea we will be celebrating America's birthday.  There are tons of festivities on post.  There will be a carnival, a fun run, food, the Army band will be playing, there will be fireworks & Sherrie Austin, a country singer (I have no idea who she is, but is cool she will be here) is going to be giving a free concert.  Then on the 6th, we will be having a BBQ at our house.  I love parties, I love organizing, preparing menus and decorating for parties.  With that being said, I went to the flower market to pick up a few red, white and blue flower.  As you can see from the picture above, I went a little overboard.  But who could resist?  All the flowers pictured above only cost $25!!  All are red, white and blue except for the Lilies, which I always have in my house because they are my favorite (and because they are SO inexpensive here).

Can you believe I haven't even stepped in a florist here? We lived next door to one in France, but here, I've seen them, but haven't even visited. What a bum. Well, you've inspired me and certainly if not this afternoon, then tomorrow I will get my fat butt off this chair and go get some red white and blue flowers!

I am having my first July 4th party. My mom called and asked me " Are you having a party for the holiday" My answer , NO, why do you want me too?? So, needless to say, my family is coming over for a pool party. We had those every year when I was younger so I guess she misses them. Oh well, an excuse to clean my house! Have a great weekend,

Proud Army wife and mother to 4 wonderful children.  I love to cook, travel, work out and scrapbook life’s adventures when I find the time.  We just got orders & are heading back to the states in March 2010.  I'm bummed that our time has been cut short, but proud of Hubby for the reason why.
