Fabric Market at Dongdaemun

HOLY BAJESUS!!!  I could spend three days here and not see it all.  Not only does the fabric market have any type of fabric you could dream of,

it has buttons GALORE,

and if that isn't enough buttons, don't worry, there are more.....

Do you need tassels?  Never fear, they are here....

How about ribbons, beads or bows?

Dongdaemun market has it all.  You can have anything you need made here and it is very inexpensive!  I am going to have curtains made here for our whole house, table cloths made for every holiday, I plan to have a cashmere coat made to fit only me, hubby plans to have suits made, and the list goes on and on.  I go back on Tuesday to have my Halloween table cloth made.  I will post a picture  and let you know how much it cost when it is done.  WOW, this place is great!

After shopping we stopped for some street food......

My friends T & J in front of the smoothie stand. Our peach smoothies are in the blender just behind T's sholder.

Food from the street vendor where we ate...

T has lived in Korea before, she is here on her 2nd tour with her husband, and therefore she knows a bit more than the rest of us.  She loves fish on a stick.  I had no idea what fish on a stick was, until she showed us.......

Now, I don't know about you, but I would have NEVER in a million years guessed that this is fish on a stick!  Even after I took a bite, I still would not have guessed "fish" on a stick.  I personally am not a big fan of this.  Don't get me wrong, it is not bad, just not what I expected.

OK, here is one more thing I must show you.  At all street vendors you will find something like this....

The cups are for drinking the fish water, and the toilet paper is your napkin.  Enjoy!

Yeah, I wasn't a big fan of the fish water, although I did try it.

Staci, I forgot to mention we bought a van...I will blog that soon.

I'm kinda glad that we didn't make it to the fabric market....that would have been another 10 boxes to ship!

Proud Army wife and mother to 4 wonderful children.  I love to cook, travel, work out and scrapbook life’s adventures when I find the time.  We just got orders & are heading back to the states in March 2010.  I'm bummed that our time has been cut short, but proud of Hubby for the reason why.
