IOMD

Hubby's new  toy.  He calls it the "Instrument of Mosquito Death".  Now, say it again, but this time say it in a deep funny voice.  Yes, that it’s “Instrument of Mosquito Death”!  It is a bug zapper in the shape of a tennis racket & he loves swatting things out of the air with it.  If I haven’t mentioned it, mosquitoes are out of control here from what I understand. I have been warned…..”Be prepared for the mosquitoes”.   They should be coming (I don’t know from where) in swarms.  Right now once the sun starts to set, the mosquitoes are bad.  We have several bottles of OFF placed strategically outside and inside the house.  We also have these things you plug in at night to ward away the mosquitoes. I put one by the back door and since the mosquitoes like to come up the drains, I placed one in each bathroom. So far so good, I have armed my house and family against the mosquitoes….and now that we have the IOMD I think we will be good, so no need to worry about us!  If hubby sees or hears a mosquito the IOMD will come out and he will fry the little boogers.

The mosquitoes here aren't as bad as they usually are this year, because we haven't had in rain in about....a million years. But, that IOMD thingie still looks really cool. Very funny. We're heading out to the farm this morning - gonna get okra to fry up for my Boy and some zucchini and fresh tomatoes, maybe for gazpacho or panzanella. I may get some extra tomatoes to make some of your yummy-looking fresh salsa.

OMG! That's what we had- but i left it with my girlfriend in Fayence who has a bad fly problem, they live near a low river bed and there are always flies. Here there's a pretty good wind to keep away the tiny pests. But I hear from her she's having a lot of fun with it!

Do they have West Nile Virus there? You should try to find something deet free if you'll be using so much of it or everyone will be poisoned instead of itching to death from a bite!!!

Proud Army wife and mother to 4 wonderful children.  I love to cook, travel, work out and scrapbook life’s adventures when I find the time.  We just got orders & are heading back to the states in March 2010.  I'm bummed that our time has been cut short, but proud of Hubby for the reason why.
