Seoul Sisters....

My Sisters arrived in Seoul a week ago today, and we have been non-stop every day since!  They arrived around 7PM, which in my opinion is perfect - arriving here at night, then going straight to bed.  They haven't really had much jet lag (this will be a different story on the way home!). On Tuesday I took it easy on them...first to Camp Kim to have temporary ID cards made, then off to the Flying Pan Blue for breakfast (they read about this on my blog and HAD to try it!)  Notice the plate sitting in front of Boy 3?  Yummy.....

After eating I showed them around Iteawon a bit, and then it was time to get the kids.  The kids acted a bit shy at first around their aunts...it is hard when you haven't seen each other in over a year, but it didn't take long for them to warm up!  For dinner we took them out for an almost traditional Korean meal (we did not sit on the floor), bulgogi & shab shab!  They both loved the bulgogi, but T said she could live without the shab shab.

After dinner we walked down to Emart & IPark mall where my sisters were able to see some of the kids modeling pictures!  They were very excited about this!

On day 2 I had a ton of stuff on our list of things to do....flower market, 2 malls, fish market, Chosun Gift Shop, manicure and pedicure. Well, I guess I didn't take into consideration that my sisters are new to Seoul, and everything is exciting and crazy, so we had to cut out list in half!  They were a little concerned on the way to the flower market when I was running red lights. They didn't realize that some red lights are optional here.  Seriously, some lights are optional.  Once we arrived to the flower market in one piece, they were in awe!

After spending a couple of hours at the flower market we headed over to the Shinsagea mall via the underground shopping area.  Being the proud mom I am, I had to show them more modeling pictures of the kids, as well as the amazing food court at the mall.  Before we knew it, it was time to leave to pick the kids up from school.  The rest of our itinerary would have to wait for the next day!  However we did hit up the Chosun Gift Shop here on post, which they loved.

On Thursday we only had a couple of hours in the morning, as this was the last day of school for the kids and they got out at 11AM - so we dropped the kids off and headed over to the fish market!  Again, they were in awe!

After picking the kids up from school, Boy 1 babysat for us while we went to our favorite little Korean restaurant for lunch, the Mackerel Lady!  (We invited the kids, but they don't like eating here...they wanted to stay home and eat PB&J's and play outside.)  This time we sat on the floor, and since it was rush hour, we got to eat in the Mackerel Lady's house. (See the TV in on the right side behind K?) What a special treat for the sisters!

Here I am posing right beside Mackerel ladies kitchen.

After lunch we dropped Hubby off and headed over to get manicures and pedicures.  A must while in Korea because they are so cheap, and GOOD!  You can get both a mani & pedi for only $27 USD!

Stay tuned....there is more to come!

Glad everyone is having a great time but I have to say I really miss mom and k. In the morning when I get up Nash goes to moms room looking and crying for her. Sometimes when I get home from work He wants to go lay in her bed and doesnt want me or G to get him out. LOL! I think nash really is missing mom more than anyone. Have fun!!!

Proud Army wife and mother to 4 wonderful children.  I love to cook, travel, work out and scrapbook life’s adventures when I find the time.  We just got orders & are heading back to the states in March 2010.  I'm bummed that our time has been cut short, but proud of Hubby for the reason why.
