I thought you might enjoy seeing this. The picture isn't great, I was in a cab driving about 60 miles an hour, with my camera hanging half way out the window just so I could snap this picture for YOU! As I have told you before, the motorcycles are crazy here, carrying HUGE loads for their little bikes. I have seen even bigger loads than this.

OH BABY, these were good!! Hubby and I both LOVED these. (I made grilled chicken sandwiches for the kids - they would not have touched these with a 10 foot pole.) The Recipe: HOLY BAJESUS!!! I could spend three days here and not see it all. Not only does the fabric market have any type of fabric you could dream of, it has buttons GALORE, and if that isn't enough buttons, don't worry, there are more..... Do you need tassels? Never fear, they are here.... How about ribbons, beads or bows? Dongdaemun market has it all. You can have anything you need made here and it is very inexpensive! I am going to have curtains made here for our whole house, table cloths made for every holiday, I plan to have a cashmere coat made to fit only me, hubby plans to have suits made, and the list goes on and on. I go back on Tuesday to have my Halloween table cloth made. I will post a picture and let you know how much it cost when it is done. WOW, this place is great! Food from the street vendor where we ate... T has lived in Korea before, she is here on her 2nd tour with her husband, and therefore she knows a bit more than the rest of us. She loves fish on a stick. I had no idea what fish on a stick was, until she showed us....... Now, I don't know about you, but I would have NEVER in a million years guessed that this is fish on a stick! Even after I took a bite, I still would not have guessed "fish" on a stick. I personally am not a big fan of this. Don't get me wrong, it is not bad, just not what I expected. The cups are for drinking the fish water, and the toilet paper is your napkin. Enjoy! Ahhh, the snickerdoodle cookie. This is Girls favorite cookie by far. She calls them cinnamon cookies. She has loved this cookie for 2-3 years now, and considering she is only six, that is a long time! I got this recipe from good ol' Betty Crocker herself. Yes, Domino's Pizza is in Korea. Anytime we go on a photo shoot, Ms. Sue always orders pizza for the kids (she is VERY good to the children). Domino's Pizza in Korea is not quite the same as Domino's Pizza in the states. The picture in this post looks pretty normal, because it was just a plain pepperoni pizza, I have learned over time when Ms. Sue asks if the children like pizza to say "yes, they like plain cheese or plain pepperoni pizza". Pepperoni pizza is really not that "normal" here in Korea, they have CRAZY pizzas combinations here (in my personal opinion). Some have whole potato wedges on them, shrimp, tofu, some white yogurt type sauce, I'm not really sure what it is, corn, pasta, bulgogi and much more. Here, go to their website and check it out. Explore, I know you cannot read the site, but just start clicking to find different pizzas. I promise you will have fun. Their pizza always comes with a side of pickles. Boy 2 was at it again...... On Oct 1st Hubby and I celebrated our 14 year wedding anniversary. Hubby went out this past week for on a recon mission; he had something planned for our anniversary and would not tell me what it was. He and Boys 1 & 3 were gone for several hours researching something….making sure they could find it and all was good for our anniversary night. Hubby always comes up with good ideas (better than my ideas, I must admit) so I wasn’t too worried about this. I really wanted to have dinner at Seoul Tower & I let him know this in advance, several times. This is what I decided on....I liked the setting on the ring on the left, the 3 diamond cluster, but I liked the band on the right, it is hard to really see what it looks like in this photo. I tweaked a few other parts of it and my ring should be ready on the 13th of October! I will post pictures of it then! I know, I know, I have the best husband in the world. AND, I am not just saying this today, those who know me know I have utters these words MANY, MANY times in the before. |
AuthorProud Army wife and mother to 4 wonderful children. I love to cook, travel, work out and scrapbook life’s adventures when I find the time. We just got orders & are heading back to the states in March 2010. I'm bummed that our time has been cut short, but proud of Hubby for the reason why. Archives
