The powder was fresh and deep! The snow storm wasn't quite over - we lasted about 1/2 an hour in this cold winter wonderland before our fingers were totally numb and hurting.
How blessed are we that this is our front yard?!

We were the only brave (?) souls on suicide hill this morning.

Today we are so EXCITED to have our friends visiting! They Braved the snow and ice to come hang with us this President's weekend! We met this family on our first tour in Korea! Boy 2 and Frankie (the boy standing next to him) were the best of friends when we lived next door to each other! Yea for friends!
There is a 5 minute window some mornings where the sun makes beautiful music with the clouds.
I was lucky enough to catch it today. Friday nights in our house equals homemade pizza, dessert and a movie!
This Friday night we pulled out the air mattress, made popcorn and stayed like this for days! Oh I LOVE Friday nights! Taken from our dining room window after the storm.
I love how well this picture captured the effects of the storm. Our yard has minimal snow, the neighbors yard has a 4 foot drift. Snow and ice all over the windows of the neighbors house and snow trying to come in our house. You can't imagine the noise these guys make EVERY AFTERNOON.
I thought geese flew south for the winter? Radiators. NEVER in my life have I experienced radiators, and let me tell you, they take some getting used to. Or maybe it is just the old house and the radiator combination, I don't know. Plus, they didn't give us directions on how to use them. They have dials, you can turn them up and down, but that really doesn't work very well. Some rooms are freezing while others are burning, and it is not consistent. Sometimes the office/mud room is burning, sometimes it is frozen over - same with every room in this old house. OK, in all honesty, I'm not used to radiators and if I am being really honest, I don't much care for radiators. They are noisy, clanking at all hours of the night, they spew water, they gurgle and they are hot to the touch, sometimes -- that is when they are working. Any-who - with all that being said, I have found a way to love our radiators.....on a cold winter's day, toss your coat and gloves on them before heading out to the bus stop! The kids love it when I get their coats 'ready' for school in the mornings!

TrishHere I go again! Last year I learn SO much about photography while doing the 365, but there is so much more to learn! My ultimate goal was to learn to shoot in manual mode in which I succeeded. However I know I need to fine tune many, many aspects of my photography. Categories
