This is what we started with, a SUPER tiny room - as you can see there isn’t even room for a bed!
(I think there is a lesson in here for all of us moms! )

I was so excited my friends at the fabric market did such a great job with altering our curtains that went back and used her to make curtains for Girl's room. For some reason Girl thinks she needs redo her room EVERY time we move. I can't blame her though, she is growing up (against my will), and I must admit it is fun redecorating her room every couple of years. (Hubby may not agree, but she is his little girl and she tends to get her way.) Girl has her own unique style when it comes to life, clothes and her room. I love that she is so independent and doesn't feel that she need to do what others are doing and even though sometimes I don't agree with her choices 100% I typically let her do her own thing as long as it doesn't harm anyone (and she is so kind she wouldn't hurt a flea...seriously, a flea) . When she told me her vision of what she wanted in her room I wasn't in total agreement. In fact I tried to get her to change her mind. I gave her ideas and looked up cute rooms on the internet with her. She was insistent - she wanted bright green walls and zebra stripes! I had to think about it and come to grips with it before I dove right in and went online shopping with her to see what we could find! (I mean seriously if I can't stand it we WILL move again in 2 years.) The other thing Girl wanted was for me to paint a forest on her walls. I'm good, but not that good - no artist am I. (If you are an artist and are willing to do this leave a note in the comments section :) Finally I dove in and this is the color she picked for her walls: This is what we started with, a SUPER tiny room - as you can see there isn’t even room for a bed! This is what we ended up with. We still need to add a few things to the walls, a small papasan chair and a carpet, but I absolutely LOVE her room! (I think there is a lesson in here for all of us moms! ) We love the little hide-away under the loft! Under her bed she has her desk, a chair and a book shelf - along with lots of fun lighting! A tween sanctuary!

I thought there wasn't much hope for that tiny room when I first saw the before picture, but I am surprised to see how you made good use of that small space. Great room!

Amazing room!!!!! I have the bright green curtains in my room to go with the lime grew bedspread. Your girl has fabulous taste!

Regan highly approves. Very nice. Regan's room just by chance is a light green in this rental house and she already had black and white curtains. So looks like we'll end up

We are getting into the final stages of planning for our move to Yongsan. I am having difficulty deciding if i should ship the kids' twin bed frames and matresses. Are the garrison provided beds decent? I love the loft here, but tjat is definitely not govt issue!

We use the bed provided by garrison. I have no complaints. The bed that is pictured is the only bed we brought with us. We brought it because I knew how small the room is and I really wanted to utilize the space under the bed. My little boys have bunk bed (you have to specifically ask for them) which we really like.
