Day 61 - Ringing in the New Year!

New Year's Eve, we moved again!
This time to another B&B just across the island of Bohol.
This day we relaxed by the pool - ALL DAY - well, except when were getting massages.
I fell in love with this B&B - great house, great pool, great grounds.
Everything I want when we start our little B&B.
Oh, and the outdoor shower was AWESOME.

3 straight days of not picking up my camera.
But I'm kind of digging these Grace photos.
This is one of the streets I run on.
It is scary and fun and there is always SO MUCH going on.
The truck on the right is avoiding hitting me.
The taxi stopped in the middle of the street to pick up a fare.
And just check out all the electrical lines....

Day 57 - Nalusuan Island

Sunrise on the 27th.
The best 2 nights/3 days I have ever spent on Vacation happened in the Philippines on the island of Nalusuan.
Paradise.
We slept in these little rooms over the water.
There was no electricity from 8AM-6PM each day.
We had no internet.
The snorkeling was the best we have EVER done.
The live coral was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!
The fish...so vibrant!
It was beyond perfect.

This is a typical store on Mactan Island.
Really, a store.

Day 53 - You Can Only Take What You Can Carry

This is the way we roll....
1 bag per person.
You can only take what you can carry on your back.

Hints on where we are going.
We need passports...(you already know that)
We need flip flops
We need sunscreen
We need bug repellant
We went to the "preventative meds" doctors office and got drugs 'just in case'
We will be gone 10 days and will move 5 times
One hotel does not have electricity during the day - they only turn it on from 8PM-6AM.

Check back on Christmas day for our 1st picture...

Project 365

Am I insane? Have I lost my mind? After thinking long and hard about it (OK, really I only thought about it for about 12 hours) I just committed to doing a photo a day for a year - a 365 'they' call it. This is going to be SUPER HARD for me. Not the photo part, but the editing part. I mean you guys KNOW how far behind I am. A photo a day - that doesn't sound like much, but in reality, who are we kidding? Anyway I'm going to TRY to post each day, but there will be times I might be MIA for a couple of days, just bear with me and I will catch up.

One of my goals throughout this 365 is to be able to shoot anything I want to in manual. The next is to have fun capturing this next crazy year of our life. In the next 365 you will see: at least 2 more countries, a HS graduation, an international move to most likely 2 different states, the heartbreak of a mom as she sends her first born off to college and so much more....

Please make sure you cheer me on after all I am a "Words of Affirmation" girl. :o)
