Day 211 - Another Forever Friend!

Trish & Beth's Wine Tour.
We should go into business.

This is one of my favorite people in the entire world.
We met in Korea in 2009 and have been friends every since.
It is going to be a sad day when I have to say 'see ya later' to this wonderful person.
So many great memories have been made & we have so many more to make together!

Day 209 - Forever Friend

This picture couldn't be more true.
I am so blessed to have this angel in my life.
She makes me laugh, she makes me cry, she makes me Jazzercise!
(You SO know that was funny!)

Friends come and go, but sometimes when you meet someone you immediately know that you will be forever friends.
I knew from that first night she sat on my back porch with her eyes open wide thinking
"What kind of neighborhood have I moved into?!"
I knew then and here that we would be forever friends.

I'm so glad you are in my life.

And there it goes....
8 crates and 8,000 pounds of our stuff all boxed up and heading across the ocean.
I hope to see it all in Rhode Island!

First they look at it and shake their heads.
Then they ask if we are taking it with us.
Then they speak in Korean using big hand gestures.
Then they shake their heads again.
Then they scratch their heads.
Then they measure and speak in Korean with big hand gestures again.
In a few hours they come back with a "custom made crate" for our phone booth.
True Story.

I didn't take this photo, but it was taken with my iPad, so it counts -- right?
Our 1st night back home from India - I was exhausted & didn't unpack my camera so I took no pictures on this day.

Day 203 - Going Home, The Road to Delhi

Not an uncommon site in India.
Just riding his elephant home.
A few other things I saw going down the street:
Cows, lots and lots of cows.  They own the roads, and are not even phased when you blow your car horn.
People on horseback.
People on camelback.
People walking their camels down the road.
People walking their donkeys down the road...I don't think I saw people riding donkeys.
Monkeys everywhere.

Day 202 - Jaipur

Off the beaten path.
Our driver has been driving tourist around for 10 years and this was the first time he had ever been here.

Step wells are an ancient system used for collecting rain water.
That's really all I know about these amazing structures other than they are super cool,
both literally, it was much cooler at the bottom and physically, I mean check this bad boy out!
Not to mention monkeys like to hang out here.

PS....the drive out of Agra to Jaipur caught up with Hubby.  Unfortunately it appears his tummy is not made of steel after all.  He was down a good 24 hours as well.

    Project 365

Am I insane?  Have I lost my mind?  After thinking long and hard about it (OK, really I only thought about it for about 12 hours) I just committed to doing a photo a day for a year - a 365 'they' call it.  This is going to be SUPER HARD for me. Not the photo part, but the editing part. I mean you guys KNOW how far behind I am.  A photo a day - that doesn't sound like much, but in reality, who are we kidding?  Anyway  I'm going to TRY to post each day, but there will be times I might be MIA for a couple of days, just bear with me and I will catch up.

One of my goals throughout this 365 is to be able to shoot anything I want to in manual. The next is to have fun capturing this next crazy year of our life. In the next 365 you will see: at least 2 more countries, a HS graduation, an international move to most likely 2 different states, the heartbreak of a mom as she sends her first born off to college and so much more....

Please make sure you cheer me on after all I am a "Words of Affirmation" girl. :o)
