Day 11 - Hiking Biryeong FallsĀ

Hubby woke us up SUPER early searching for his phone.
I'm talking 6AM people...on a holiday.
Do you know why he was searching for his phone at 6AM & waking us all up?
He NEEDED to know the score of the Bronco game.
True story.
I have no idea why he didn't use MY PHONE that was right next to him.

ANYWAY....we all ended up awake and grumpy.
THEN, he made us go for a hike.
Oh, and something happened in Korea OVERNIGHT.....
WINTER HAPPENED.
FREEZING COLD WINTER.
Now we were all even MORE GRUMPY!
Oh, and I had no coffee.
No one wanted to go on this hike, but he forced us to.
We were cold, had no gloves, no coats and there was ICE on the ground.

And again, I DID NOT HAVE COFFEE.

In the end I thanked him for forcing us to go on this beautiful hike.
(And for finding coffee for me before the hike.)

And since we went so early, we were the only people there.  :o)

Day 10 - Cairns

A carin is a man-made pile of stones.
Carins are found all over the world, in uplands, on hiking trails, on sea cliffs in deserts....all over the place!
They vary in size some are very small and some are crazy big.

In Korea we see them on every.single.trail we hike.
There are more when there is a Buddhist temple on the hike.
There are many different reason for one to build a carin, so do it as a ceremonial gesture, some in prayer, some put them on ancestors graves, but for me, I go with the belief that carins bring good luck to those that build them, or add to existing carins.

    Project 365

Am I insane?  Have I lost my mind?  After thinking long and hard about it (OK, really I only thought about it for about 12 hours) I just committed to doing a photo a day for a year - a 365 'they' call it.  This is going to be SUPER HARD for me. Not the photo part, but the editing part. I mean you guys KNOW how far behind I am.  A photo a day - that doesn't sound like much, but in reality, who are we kidding?  Anyway  I'm going to TRY to post each day, but there will be times I might be MIA for a couple of days, just bear with me and I will catch up.

One of my goals throughout this 365 is to be able to shoot anything I want to in manual. The next is to have fun capturing this next crazy year of our life. In the next 365 you will see: at least 2 more countries, a HS graduation, an international move to most likely 2 different states, the heartbreak of a mom as she sends her first born off to college and so much more....

Please make sure you cheer me on after all I am a "Words of Affirmation" girl. :o)
