Hubby and I had date night with some friends at Braai Republic, a South African Restaurant in Itaewon. My girlfriend had read about this meat that was something like beef jerky, although when she ask about the 'beef jerky' type meat she was scolded & schooled by the owner. This is Biltong, not beef jerky. He even brought out a book on it for us to read up on.
This was a bad picture night, but I committed to doing this 365 so darn it, you get to see the good the bad and the ugly.
Even though this isn't exactly how I saw this picture it does tell a pretty cool story. This was date night with 2 of my boys. Hubby and I used to be SO MUCH BETTER at date night with our kids - you know, each of them individually just getting one on one time with mom and dad. Since Hubby's last deployment we haven't reinstated kid date night. This was the first parent-kid date night in oh at least 29 months. 29 months - that's almost 2 1/2 years! He is off the hook for 12 of those months, but me...well... Anyway you would think we could have figured it out in the past 17 months but as you know life gets busy and you well, just forget. We hope to make this a once a week thing again. So this picture says to me.. Date night with 2 of my favorite people on earth in one of my favorite cities on earth during my favorite season.... There is so much going on here! OK, ONE of my favorite little coffee spots in Seoul....I have a few, but this one really is in the top 3.
I can't decide which is #1, and there is so much coffee, so little time. I love that Hubby took me here after lunch. I think he likes me all hopped up on coffee. The beauty of this place, the name says it most of it.... It is a walk up coffee stand - they have a couple of tall tables and a couple of tall chairs but for the most part you have to stand - oh, and in the winter they put plastic around the tables to help keep you warm. How awesome is that? |
Project 365
Am I insane? Have I lost my mind? After thinking long and hard about it (OK, really I only thought about it for about 12 hours) I just committed to doing a photo a day for a year - a 365 'they' call it. This is going to be SUPER HARD for me. Not the photo part, but the editing part. I mean you guys KNOW how far behind I am. A photo a day - that doesn't sound like much, but in reality, who are we kidding? Anyway I'm going to TRY to post each day, but there will be times I might be MIA for a couple of days, just bear with me and I will catch up. Archives
