When we went into the hospital on Tuesday night for a coin down the throat we had no idea it would end up being a trip to the OR and lead to an overnight stay.
Life is funny like that.
And this is just affirmation that military friends are your family ESPECIALLY when you are so far from home.
Friends found out about our little trip to the ER and they all came calling!
I had a friend show up in the ER with food, water, books, blankets and more!
My phone was blowing up with well wishes and asking what they could do.
I had friends asking if they could come hang out with us while we waited for him to get out of the OR.
And I had a friend text me at 5:30 AM this morning asking if I needed coffee.
She knows me all too well.
She KNEW I would be up and she KNEW I would need coffee.
In the military friends are family.
