Day 3 -  Friends, Tea & The Blue House

11/3/2013

Today I'm sick.
Fever, chills, sore throat, stuffy head, headache & body aches.
Luckily I have friends, tea and the Blue House to help me out.
When you are military you find that your friends are your family.  You do things for each other without question.  You babysit for each other, you vent to each other, you celebrate with each other, and you care for each other when you are sick.  When a friend heard I was sick she offered up chicken soup and gave me citron tea.  She told me to drink it - it is a fix all.  Being the good patient I am I made myself a cup of citron tea in this very cool tea set given to us by the former President of Korea, Lee Myung-bak.  The building on the tea cup is The Blue House (like our White House), and the crane on the cup symbolizes longevity, spirituality and nobility.

Here's to hoping all of these things work and I feel better tomorrow.

Sorry to hear that you're not feeling good - hope it doesn't last too long.

    Project 365

Am I insane?  Have I lost my mind?  After thinking long and hard about it (OK, really I only thought about it for about 12 hours) I just committed to doing a photo a day for a year - a 365 'they' call it.  This is going to be SUPER HARD for me. Not the photo part, but the editing part. I mean you guys KNOW how far behind I am.  A photo a day - that doesn't sound like much, but in reality, who are we kidding?  Anyway  I'm going to TRY to post each day, but there will be times I might be MIA for a couple of days, just bear with me and I will catch up.

One of my goals throughout this 365 is to be able to shoot anything I want to in manual. The next is to have fun capturing this next crazy year of our life. In the next 365 you will see: at least 2 more countries, a HS graduation, an international move to most likely 2 different states, the heartbreak of a mom as she sends her first born off to college and so much more....

Please make sure you cheer me on after all I am a "Words of Affirmation" girl. :o)
