I'm discovering more and more (even though I already knew) that I am a total beach person. There is just something so calming about being on the water and God knows I need calm.
Some people say that the Waianea area is rough & there is nothing to do 'out there', but I say for anyone going to Hawaii, if you are military you must stay at Pililaau. It is flipping spectacular! We couldn't have been more happy here. The bays behind our house were perfect, once side was calm, perfect for paddle boarding and not to mention almost EVERY MORNING the dolphins came in to play!! The other side was full of wave and the kids played on boogie boards and surfed! We had such a great time here we didn't even leave our rental other than to hang out on the beach! These next few months will be full of change.
What am I going to do without this boy in my day to day life? Moving is hard.
Saying goodbye is harder. This was taken our Air Force neighbors change of command. This event was supposed to be all about him, but really it was all about her. Saying goodbye to her, Michelle, the one in the middle. A neighbor I grew to call my sister, my friend and my confidant. She is a rock and I know she will be in my life forever more. Till New York Michelle, till New York! This day was dedicated to my Hubby - the best Dad our kids could ever ask for. 3 teams, 3 hours to collect as many points as possible. Teams: Team 1 - Hubby, Boy 2 Team 2 - Boy 1, His Girl, Boy 3 Team 3 - Trish, Girl 1 Team 2 came in 3rd place with 1,450 points! Project 365
Am I insane? Have I lost my mind? After thinking long and hard about it (OK, really I only thought about it for about 12 hours) I just committed to doing a photo a day for a year - a 365 'they' call it. This is going to be SUPER HARD for me. Not the photo part, but the editing part. I mean you guys KNOW how far behind I am. A photo a day - that doesn't sound like much, but in reality, who are we kidding? Anyway I'm going to TRY to post each day, but there will be times I might be MIA for a couple of days, just bear with me and I will catch up. Archives
